What is BA B.Ed. degree?
BA B.Ed. is a four-year-long integrated course which carries a combination of theoretical classes and internships. BA B.Ed. integrated course combines BA (Bachelor of Arts) and B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education). A BA is an undergraduate degree programme that can be pursued after completion of 10+2. While a B.Ed. or Bachelor of Education is a postgraduate degree. Candidates who want to enroll in it are required to complete an undergraduate degree programme in any specialisation. The main component of this programme is especially about ‘learning by doing’ and also classroom teaching. Divided in four years, the undergraduate course provides an in-depth knowledge of subjects related to Art and Professional Studies. The course gives students an experience in communication skills and teaching.

The cut-offs for the GEN category usually range between 45 to 55% and between 40 to 50% for SC/ST. |

Any candidate who has not appeared for 10+2 exams before the admission date is not eligible to apply for the course.
BA B.Ed. Admission Process
The process of admission varies for each college. While some colleges have provision for direct admission on the basis of merit others conduct entrance examinations to select candidates. For the entrance examination, a student needs to meet the eligibility criteria. The entrance test will consist of a written exam to check the clarity of concepts followed by a Personal Interview (PI). A student will be called for admission after considering the marks scored in the entrance exam and 10+2.
